Releasing music under the name Sakunera for over 10 years and inspired from diverse art and media, Liam Buchan has written and released electronic music from dance house tracks, moody synthwave pieces to hard dark electro.

Every significant experience with film and games pushes Liam to new ideas musically. With the release of Stranger Things, looping Kraftwerk all day, the discovery of Hotline Miami, the obsession with Daft Punk and the love for 80's horror films, Liam takes these inspirations and mixes them with modern electronic music production.

With the goal to make the music he wishes existed, Liam Buchan takes his work into his live sets and DJ setlists.

After receiving a Diploma of Music Production from Collarts in 2019, Liam Buchan has worked on multiple projects, been the resident DJ at Holey Moley/Archie Brothers in Christchurch NZ and worked on multiple personal albums under the name Sakunera.
